I met Laurent Jeanneau in Paris in 2004 as he had already been on his unconventional DIY path of music composition, recording and performances for 5 years.
I have witnessed his radical passion for the music of minorities from Asia and Africa which brought him to the production of over 160 recordings, released on his own label “Kink Gong“ (Tanzania, Cambodia, China, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam). He has also released 4 albums on the French label “Akuphone“, 8 albums on “Sublimes Frequencies“ (USA) and 11 of his “Remix” compositions, with “Discrepant“ (UK).
We are very pleased to welcome Laurent in IKSK, for a monthly listening session with sounds, photos, videos and stories from his KINK GONK production.
